Mrs. Effie Lou Sellears age 91 of John Call Rd. Ellijay formerly of Acworth, GA died Thursday March 3, 2011.

Mrs. Sellears was born on August 13, 1919 in Gainesville, GA. She is the daughter of the late Allen Boggus and Rildy Thomas. She worked in housekeeping at Kennestone Hospital and was of the Baptist Faith. She is preceded in death by her husband Randolph L. Sellears.

Survivors include: Daughter & son-in-law: Delores Lavern Sellears Pollett & Gary Pollett, Ellijay; Sons & daughter-in-law: Melvin Sellears, Acworth, GA, Randy Meldon & Rena Sellears, Acworth, GA; 8 Grandchildren: Eddie Bentley, Stacy Sellears Conwell, Natasha Sellears, Sabrina King, Anthony Pollett, Sam Sweat, Chris Abbott, Anna Abbott; 11 Great grandchildren; Special friend: Bonnie Brooks; Special Nephew: Gordon Grennel; Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 5, 2011 at 3:30pm from the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lula, GA with Rev. Loy Frix officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday March 4th from 3pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home in Ellijay, GA.
