Mrs. Defra Jean Black Sigers, age 48, of Pole Coffee Trail, Ellijay, Ga. died Thursday April 7,2011.

Mrs. Sigers was born January 4,1963 in Taylor, Michigan the daughter of Defra Jewel Gant Black and the late Clifford Oval Black. She attended the North Georgia Revival Center in Chatsworth and was formerly employed by Lexington Rubber Company as an inspector.

Survivors include: Husband Kenneth Sigers of the home; Daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Jason Matthews, Jasper, GA.; Grandson Jonathan Matthews; Mother Jewel Black, Ellijay,GA.; brothers: Norman, Alvin Larry, James and Wally Black all of Ellijay, GA.; Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Gertha Sigers. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 11, 2011 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Pastor Yvonne Trammell and Pastor Harold Morrow officiating. Interment will be in the Riverhill Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday April 10,2011 from 1 until 9pm at the funeral home.

Bernhardt funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
