Today Ellijay’s United Community Bank held its annual Customer Appreciation Day. The bank showed its appreciation to customers by giving away tomato plants, hot dogs, popcorn, and door prizes.
Bank representative Amber Davenport told me the event was intended to “invite our customers out, thank them for being with us, shake their hands…for the trust, faith and confidence they’ve put in us.”
According to Amber, the event, which is scheduled to last from 10am to 4pm, usually draws around 2500 people. In addition to some 15,000 tomato plant seedlings, the bank is giving away gardening tools and other prizes.
