Mrs. Frieda Mae Allen, age 81, of Penland St. Ellijay, Ga. died Friday July 1, 2011.

Mrs. Allen was born on May 27, 1930 in Crandall, GA . She worked as a seamstress for the Burlington Factory. She was also a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Her husband Marion Ray Allen precedes her in death.

Survivors include: Daughter: Mechelle Ballew, Ellijay,Ga.; Son, Tracy Gibson, Cleveland, TN; 6 Grandchildren, 1 Great grandchild; Sister, Charlotte Gibson, Cleveland, TN; Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 4, 2011 at 11am from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Hensley & Rev. Paul Richards & Bro. Timothy Ballew officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 3rd from 4pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
