Mr. Joseph B. Smith age 57 of Laurel Trail Ellijay died Friday July 1,2011.

Mr. Smith was born July 11,1953 in Cleveland, TN the son Robert W. Smith Sr. and the late Dorothy Creasman Smith. He had worked in the retail grocery business and was a member of the Cartecay Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Father Rev. Robert W. Smith, Sr., Brother and sister-in-law: Robert “Bob” and Linda Smith, Sister and brother-in-law: Ruth E. and Mickey Moskovitz all of Ellijay, nieces and nephews, Jonathan and Heather Smith, Rebecca and Kerry Conn, Joel and Leah Smith, David Smith, Amy and Michael Williams, David and Malory Moskovitz.

Funeral service will be held Sunday July 3,2011 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Fields officiating. Interment will be in the Cartecay United Methodist Church cemetery.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Gideon’s International P.O. Box 1704 Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. Smith. The family will meet with friends Saturday July 2,2011 from 6 until 9pm at the funeral home.
