Kenneth Leslie Allen : Obituary

Mr. Kenneth Leslie Allen age 65 of the Flat Branch Community, Ellijay, GA, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 17th, 2011 from the Hall County Medical Center.

He was of the Baptist faith, born November 16th, 1945 to his late parents Leslie L. and Dora Belle Newton Allen in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia. Mr. Allen was employed as a skidder operator in the timber logging business, and was an employee of Larry Farist and Leon McClure Timber Companies. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kenneth L. Allen Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 485. Ellijay, GA 30540.

Survivors include wife of 28 years Betty Wright Allen of the home in Ellijay, GA; daughters and sons-in-law: Pam and Tony Licata of Cherry Log, GA, Tina and Tim Stover of Ellijay, GA, Missy and Gary Tinnell of Ellijay, Linda Bailey of Charlotte NC, Linda and Johnny Burnette of Ellijay, GA; sons and daughters-in-law: John and Regina Banks of Jasper, GA, Donnie and Debra Bailey of Ellijay, GA; 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Bernetta Smith, Juanita McNamara, Wendell Allen and Billy Allen all of Ellijay, GA.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20th, 2011 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy McClure and Rev. Lonnie Wright officiating. Vocals will be by Regina Morgan.

Interment service will follow in the Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Allen, Wendell Allen, Larry Dalrymple, Kyle Tinnell, Derek Burnette, Gary Tinnell, Johnny Burnette and Dexter Morgan.

Family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Logan Funeral Home.
