Mrs. Beuna Mae Keener Hales age 88 of Roundtop Road, Ellijay died Monday August 29, 2011.

Mrs. Hales was born on May 4, 1923 in Gilmer Co. She is the daughter of the late Thomas Oscar Keener & Sarah Etta Mason Keener. She was a homemaker and a member of Sunlight Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Husband of 69 years: Rev. Hoyt Hales, of the home; Sons: Anthony Hales, Ellijay, Jeffrey Hales, East Point, GA; Daughters: Rebecca Burrell, Ellijay, Rose Reece, Dallas, GA, Stella Brewer, Ellijay; 6 Grandchildren; 7 Great grandchildren; Sister: Cleo Silver Nelson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday September 1st at 2pm from the Flat Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Wallace Parks and Rev. David Nicholson officiating. Interment will be held in the Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 30 from 6pm until 9pm and Wednesday, August 31st from 12noon until 9pm.
