This Week at GHS is Homecoming Week!

This week at GHS is homecoming week! Every day this week has a crazy theme and all of the students at GHS Go all out. Monday was Tacky day, Tuesday is College day, Wednesday is Twin day, Thursday is Color day, and Friday is Purple and White Day. GHS students have gone all out in years passed. This year is no different! The students showed their Bobcat pride every day this week and are getting everyone pepped up for the upcoming homecoming game this Friday night at 7 p.m.

The “Purple and White” newspaper is selling its first issue of the 2011-2012 year on September the 23rd 2011 at GHS! Students will be selling them during the morning of September 23rd for 50 cents. The “Purple and White” Newspaper staff have been working extraordinarily hard this year. All of the 19 students in the newspaper class have put an amazing amount of creativeness and angst into giving GHS a wonderful first issue. The editor, Courtney Davis, and the adviser, Mrs. Becker are very proud to be working with such an fantastic group of students. Editorials and photos are welcome to be submitted from GHS students for this newspaper, just bring it by Mrs. Becker’s room.

To all the Seniors at GHS! The yearbook is in need of your baby pictures, prom pictures, and summer pictures as soon as possible! Bring pictures by Mrs. Luke’s room to scan, or send an email with the pictures attached (make sure it is marked clearly who the email is from, and states who is in the pictures and where the pictures are taken.) The deadline for submission of these pictures is soon, so hurry and get these pictures in before its too late!

Senior T-Shirts are on sale now! Get your Senior cool and customized (with every senior’s signature) T-shirt for 20$ from Mrs. Luke, or Mrs. Becker. They will be on sale until the end of September, so don’t wait!

Senior superlatives at GHS were voted on last week during the firs 2011-2012 Senior Meeting. Students, make sure to listen to the announcements made in the mornings and afternoons to find out who won which superlative!
