Mr. William L. Comes age 85 of Lazy River LN Ellijay, GA. died Monday Nov. 16,2011.

Mr. Comes was born March 22,1926 in Bangor, PA the son of the late Victor F. and Mabel Mack Comes. He was retired from General Dynamics Corporation, was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church where he served as Financial Secretary, was a founding member of the Gilmer Food Pantry and a World War II veteran serving with the US Army.

Survivors include: Wife: Christine V. Comes, Son: Bill Brown, Jr. Ellijay, Daughters: Marsha Ann Brown, Coker Creek, TN, Lynette Brown, Woodstock, GA; 3 Grandchildren, Callie Messerschmitt, Woodstock, GA, Wesley P. Cox, Warner Robbins, GA ,Kenny Cox, Arlington, TX , 8 great-grandchildren, Brother, Robert G. Comes, Colorado Springs, CO, Sister: M. Elaine Gist, Bangor, PA. several nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday Nov. 22,2011 at 11:00am from the Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. David Smedley officiating. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Bill Comes Memorial Fund in care of Hope Lutheran Church 3295 Old Hwy 5 S. Ellijay, GA 30540.

The family will meet with friends Monday Nov. 21,2011 from 5 until 7 pm.
