Mr. Richard Donald Harris age 80 of Abbott Top Rd. Ellijay died Wednesday December 7, 2011.

Mr. Harris was born on September 30, 1931 in Jacksonville, FL. He was a U.S Navy Veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay. He is preceded in death by his parents and sons Richard D. Harris, Jr., and Vance Harris.

Survivors include: Wife: Patsy Matthews Harris of the home; Daughter & Son-in-law: Lana & John Shuman, Reidsville, GA; Sons: Matthew & Zachary Henson both of Ellijay; Brothers: Edward Harris, Jerry Harris, Monticello, GA; Special friend: Bud Matthews; 7 Grandchildren; 1 Great grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
