Press release from the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office:
On Feb. 1, 2012, a joint investigation consisting of the Gilmer Co. Sheriff’s Office, the Zell Miller Mountain Parkway Drug Task Force, and the U.S. Secret Service, led to the arrest of RAYMOND CRUMPTON, age 36, of a Chatham County address, regarding counterfeit money being passed in Gilmer County.
CRUMPTON was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Chatham County. Equipment of a small counterfeiting operation was seized at a residence in the Cartecay area. The joint investigation will continue.
