Mr. Allen S. Congdon age 78 of Ellijay died Wednesday March 28, 2012.

Mr. Congdon was born on November 25, 1933 in Pennsylvania. He was a real estate agent for Woodland Realty, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay, a member of the Masonic Milnor Lodge #139 in NY, the Easter Star in NY and served in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by a son, Gary Congdon and his parents Allen S. Congdon and Marian Hull Congdon.

Survivors Include: Wife: Marcia Congdon of the home; Son: Mark Congdon, Ellijay; Brother & sister-in-law: William & Peggy Congdon, Holland, PA; 3 Grandchildren: Jason, Jenny & Ashley; 2 Great grandchildren: Destini & Christian; Many beloved friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 31, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Barton officiating. Family will receive friends Friday, March 30th from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
