Mr. Ernest Edmondson age 90 of Hwy 52 East Ellijay, GA died Thursday April 5, 2012.

Mr. Edmondson was born February 24, 1922 in Gilmer Co. to the late Clifford Edmondson and Dessie Burnett Edmondson. He was self-employed as a farmer and a carpenter. Mr. Edmondson was a Veteran serving in WWII and was also a member of the Pisgah Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by brothers Edward, Dorsey, Frank, Howard, and Willard Edmondson and Sisters Mamie Stanley, Merle Cagle, and Jewell Stanley.

Survivors Include: Wife of 67 years: Alice Garland Edmondson, of the Home; Sons and Daughters in-law: Roger & Shirley Edmondson, Ellijay Charles & Carolyn Edmondson, Ellijay; 5 Grandchildren: Michael & Ashley Edmondson, Mark, Angie, Cadi, and Cole Edmondson; 8 Great Grandchildren: Andrew, Turner, Justin, Jeremy, Josh, Ashley, Kelsey Edmondson and Haley & Bryan Chambers; Several Nieces and Nephews

Funeral Services will be held Sunday April 8th at 3pm from the Ellijay Church of Christ with Minister Bill Thomas and Minister Butch Jones officiating. The body will lie in state at the Church Sunday from 2:30pm until 3pm. Interment will follow in the Pisgah Church of Christ cemetery with Military rites by the U.S.Army.

Family will receive friends Saturday April 7th from 5pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
