James Franklin Davis age 81, of Ellijay passed Tuesday afternoon, April 10th, 2012. Mr. Davis was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. He graduated from Gilmer High School, class of 1949. Mr. Davis was retired from the Galaxy Carpet Mills. Born March 28, 1931, to his late father and mother George Washington & Fannie Idella Stembridge Davison, Ellijay.

Survivors include sister-in-law: Doris Evans Davis of Ellijay, nieces: Bobbie Holbrooks of SC, Judy Russell of McDonough, GA, Nancy Davis Vandiver and Tammy Tankersley of Ellijay, nephews: Gregory Davis of Ellijay, Kent Tankersley of Helsinki, Finland, Terrell Tankersley of Jakarta, Indonesia.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 13th from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jerry Banks and Rev. David Nichols will be officiating. A graveside interment will follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with interment in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends starting at 4:00 p.m. Thursday April 12th at Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.
