Mrs. Gertha Lee Bowen Ledford age 91 of Mt. Zion Rd. Ellijay died Sunday April 22, 2012.

Mrs. Ledford was born May 1, 1920 in Gilmer Co. to the late Clifford Bowen and Ethel Pence Bowen. She was retired from the textile industry, having worked for many years at J&C. Mrs. Ledford attended Oak Hill Independent Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Ledford, sisters, Jessie Akin and Effie Mulkey, and brothers, Tom Bowen and CM Bowen.

Survivors include: Son and daughter-in-law: Rev. Edward and Betty Ledford, Ellijay; Grandchildren: Eric and Tammy Ledford, Keith and Stephanie Ledford; Great-grandchildren: Jessie Ledford, Olivia and Dylan York, Sara Ledford, James Ledford, Donnie Ledford, Eva Ledford.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday April 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Ledford officiating. Interment will be held in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Monday, April 23rd from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
