Mr. David C. Ralston age 81 of Ellijay, GA died Thursday May 3, 2012.

Mr. Ralston was born December 2, 1930 in Whitfield Co. to the late Cosby C. Ralston and Josie Victoria Bearden Ralston. He is retired from the US Air Force after serving 24 years, and is also retired from Wal Mart of East Ellijay where he worked for 20 years. Mr. Ralston is a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Ralston is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Parks and James Ralston, and sisters, Audrey Johnson, Irene Nicholson, and Lorene Weeks.

Survivors Include: Wife: Martha Ann Ralston, Ellijay; Daughter & son-in-law: Cheryl & James R. Cornwell, Rincon; 2 Grandchildren: Amy Croy & David Cornwell; Sisters: Geneva Cantrell, Ellijay, Joycene Pritchett, Douglasville, Betty Jean James, Chatsworth; Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday May 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral with Dr. David Drake & Rev. James Holt officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday May 5th from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Ellijay City Cemetery with graveside rites by the US Air Force.
