Lowery Signs with Barons of BPC

Gilmer High School graduating senior basketball player, Ryan Lowery, signed his letter of intent to play basketball at Brewton-Parker College on Friday May 18,2012. Lowery chose the Barons after the Barons initially showed interest in recruiting him.
Lowery expects to compete as a freshman, and was told by the coaching staff that he would be afforded the opportunity to do so.

“They were recruiting me for varsity. They want to give me playing time as a freshman.”

In addition to being actively recruited by the Barons, Lowery said the school, located in Mount Vernon, Georgia, being “small and laid back” was also a contributing factor. Lowery plans to study criminal justice.
