Mr. Romie Stanley, age 74, of Big Rock Trail Ellijay, GA, died Saturday July 14, 2012.

Mr. Stanley was born August 22, 1937 in Fannin County, the son of the late Ted and Georgia Jones Stanley. He worked in the Textile Industry as a Supervisor and was a member of the Boardtown Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by sisters, Janie German, Evelyn Mullinax, Judy Silver and Betty Jean Davis.

Survivors include: Wife: Ella Stanley of the home; daughters: Debbie Phillips, Holly Springs, Teresa Bryant, Ellijay, brothers: Bobby Stanley, Ellijay, David Stanley, Talking Rock, sisters: Wilma Holquin, Jasper, Dale Teem, Ellijay. 4 Grandchildren: Michael Adams, Justin Phillips, Alex Bryant, Lucas Bryant, 1 Great-grandchild: Allison Adams.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 17,2012 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Minister David Mullins and Minister Butch Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Stanley Creek Church of Christ cemetery in Fannin County.

The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 until 9pm and all day Monday until 9pm at the funeral home. Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
