On July 21, 2012 Gilmer County Saddle Club will host the National Racking Horse St. Jude’s Show. Proceeds from the show will go to St. Jude to further research. St. Jude’s treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. According to their website, “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Ranked one of the best pediatric cancer hospitals in the country, St. Jude is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children.”A Silent Auction will also be held to raise funds.
Bring the family out for a night of fun and enjoy watching horse and rider compete for the blue ribbon. The show will start at 6:00 p.m. and sign up will being at 5:00 p.m.. As always negative coggins is required and must be presented at time of sign up.
