District Attorney Joe Hendricks speaks at the Gilmer County Library.In front of a small gathering at the Gilmer Country Library, On Monday, September 17th in honor of Constitution Day, District Attorney Joe Hendricks discussed the history behind the Bill of Rights, Magna Carta, Glorious Revolution of 1689, English Bill of Rights, Separation of Powers and the Structure of Our Government. DA Hendricks explained how each of these historic documents have influenced ideas in government and have been carried forward throughout time and how they relate to the Constitution.
The next program held at the Gilmer County Library will be on November 1st at 6:00 p.m. by Don Wells. Mr. Wells is the author of Mystery of the Trees, and his program title is “In the Presense of the Elders-Native American Culture, Spirituality, and Wisdom”. Refreshements are provided by Friends of the Library.
