Ronnie G. Oakes : Obituary

Mr. Ronnie G. Oakes age 74 of Pleasant Valley Rd. Silver Creek, GA died Thursday September 27, 2012.

Mr. Oakes was born on September 27, 1938 in Alabama City, AL. He was a member of the Rockmart Church of God, a Mason, a U.S. Army Veteran and was retired from General Motors. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gerald Oakes.

Survivors include: Wife: Ann Oakes, of the home; Sons: Richard Oakes, Gaylesville, AL Roger Oakes, Cartersville, GA; Daughters: Leigh Sullins, Silver Creek, GA Jammie Oakes, Silver Creek, GA; 5 Grandchildren: Angel Sullins, Cheyenne Oakes, Zack Oakes, Paige Oakes & Gaige Oakes-Vann.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday September 30, 2012 at 3pm from the Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Rome, GA.

The family will receive friends Sunday September 30th from 1pm until 3pm at the Good Shepherd Funeral in Rome, GA.

In lieu of flowers donations may be to the Alzheimer Association at 922 East Morris Street Dalton, GA 30721 in memory of Mr. Oakes.
