Toni Martin Powell : Obituary

Mrs. Toni Martin Powell, age 69, Spruce Dr. Ellijay, GA died Thursday Sept. 27, 2012.

Mrs. Powell was born February 21, 1943 in Beckley W. Va., the daughter of the late Elvie C. and Margie Meadows Martin. She attended Cartecay United Methodist Church and was an employee of Gilmer County for 21 years, having worked for the Gilmer County Magistrate Judge Office as a clerk for 14 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Harold Richard “Dick” Powell on December 10, 2011.

Survivors include: Son & daughter-in-law: Harold Richard “Rick” III and Sandra Powell, Sebastian, FL; Daughter & son-in-law: Tami Powell Dye and Robert Dye, Stuart, FL; Grandchildren & spouses: U.S.N. Petty Officer 2nd Class Harold Richard IV and Christina Powell, Norfolk, VA, Michael Chandler and Tiffany Boyette, Ellijay; 1 Great granddaughter: Lillian Mabel Boyette, Ellijay; Sisters: Tari Martin, IL, Teni Martin, IA, Dianne McCrum, Jacksonville, FL, Gayle Neely, WA, Catherine Marske, IA, Junie Butler, FL; Brothers: E.C. Martin, Jr., FL Ernest W. Martin, WA

Funeral services will be held Saturday Sept. 29. 2012 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Hardin Hopper officiating.

Interment will be in the Cartecay United Methodist Church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Saturday from 1:00pm until the service hour at the Funeral Home.
