Last Thursday the Gilmer County Fire department responded to a house fire off Chatsworth highway. According to Tony Pritchett, head of Gilmer County EMS, the call came in at 10:14 a.m. and firefighters arrived at the May residence at 10:18 am.
Pritchett told FYN they were at the May residence for three to four hours. The house is a brick two story and still intact. Pritchett went on to say the May’s were in the process of moving and the fire was under investatgation by the Gilmer County Fire Marshall. He said more details would be coming soon.
