Oscar D. “Ode” Chastain age 73 of the Boardtown community, Cherry Log, GA passed suddenly on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Mr. Chastain is survived by wife, Lois Holloway Chastain of the home in Cherry Log; daughter and son-in-law Marie and Wade McDaris of Morganton, GA; sons and daughter-in-law; Danny Scott Chastain of Savannah, GA, Phillip and Cindy Chastain of Rockmart, GA; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Andrew Wade McDaris, John Evan McDaris, Makalie Chastain, Nichole Chastain, Madison Hulsey, Drew McDaris and Gracie McDaris; sisters; Rose C. Jones of Copperhill, TN., and Kathy C. Rice of Cherry Log, GA; brother Kenneth Chastain.

Funeral services will take place at 3:00 p.m.on Friday, December 21st, 2012 at the Boardtown Church of Christ. Officiating and speaking will be Minister Jere Via, Minister David Mullins and Joe Sisson. Interment will follow in the Boardtown Church of Christ cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 p.m. On Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Logan Funeral Home.
