The tremendous tragedy this past week in Connecticut brings forth many questions, and perhaps the questions that really do need to be addressed.One major question is, “Has American society degenerated to the point that we no longer recognize the moral decay we have experienced?” Another question is, “Do we not recognize the breakdown in the family and the consequences of such?” Some politicians want to blame guns and gun ownership, but they seem to shy away from addressing the real problems.The America of just 50 years ago was far safer and more responsive to her citizens and their needs. We looked out for one another and respected others property and rights. The over-regulation and permissiveness of today may well lend itself to too much dependency and less self-reliance. The over medication of today may also lend itself to the destructive actions we have experienced in recent months and years. Lets hope we can finally address the real problems.
