Clara “Belle” Cantrell Chadwick Underwood : Obituary

Mrs. Clara Belle Cantrell Chadwick Underwood age 92 of Penland St Ellijay died Monday January 14, 2013.

Mrs. Underwood was born March 13,1920 in Gilmer county, the daughter of the late Western and Mae Sellers Cantrell. She worked in the food service industry and was a member of the East Ellijay Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands Zed Chadwick and Claude Underwood and brother, Jimmy Chadwick.

Survivors include: Daughters: Patsy Sanford, Ellijay, Nancy Miller, Acworth, 6 Grandchildren, Shannon Sanford, Kristen Blackwell, Donnie Ruff, Joel Ruff, Danny Chadwick, Ricky Chadwick. 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. Brothers: Johnny Cantrell, Okeechobee, FL, Arthur Cantrell, Boaz, AL, Edward Cantrell, Mineral Bluff, Sisters; Winnie Keener, Ellijay, Betty Fowler and Nellie Cantrell both of Mineral Bluff.

Funeral services will be held Wed January 16,2013 at 4:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Patterson and Rev. Billy Cantrell officiating. Interment will be in the East Ellijay cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 3 until 9pm at the funeral home.
