A Message from your Chair…

Among the key characteristics that define successful individuals, organizations, and communities, are adaptability and resilience. The ability to adjust to challenging environments and rebound from setbacks may not guarantee long term success, but it certainly contributes in a major way. There is no doubt that our local economy, like so many others, took a major hit a few years ago. Businesses have closed, and once reliable local industries have faced tremendous contractions. On the other hand, some businesses have managed not only to survive, but to thrive during these challenging times. New businesses have formed and are growing nicely.

These businesses stand as testimony that there is still tremendous potential yet to be realized in our beautiful community. As Chairman of your Chamber for 2013, I want you to rest assured that your Chamber Board and Staff are actively engaged in the process of identifying potential growth areas and determining what resources can be allocated to see that those opportunities are realized. I am personally very bullish on our local community and the promise it holds. I have chosen to invest here because of the potential I see all around me. There is nowhere I would rather be!
