Mr. Burley Cleveland Parks age 89 of Ellijay died Tuesday April 9, 2013.
Mr. Parks was born on April 7, 1924 in Gilmer Co. He is the son of the late Grover Cleveland Parks and Rebecca Jones Parks. He was the owner and operator of M & P Equipment and was a member of the Northcutt Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Joann Thomas Parks, son Tommy Parks, siblings Dora Parks, Willie McVey, Burt, Len, and Clem Parks, and a granddaughter Rachael Leanne Raider.
Survivors include: Son: Kenneth Parks, Ellijay; Daughters & son-in-law: Deborah Pounkett, Ellijay, Athena & Jim Bruner, Ellijay; Sister: Jean Waters, Ellijay; Brother: Bill Parks, Ellijay; 5 Grandchildren, 1 Great grandchild Nieces & Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday April 12, 2013 at 1pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. H.T. James & Rev. Charlie Mull officiating.
Interment will be held in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday April 11th from 5pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
