Danny C. Plumley : Obituary

Mr. Danny C. Plumley age 64 of Cherry Log died Tuesday April 9, 2013.

Mr. Plumley was born on August 24, 1948 in Gilmer Co. He is the son of the late Kiser Plumley and Mattie Patterson Plumley. He was a 1968 graduate of Gilmer High School, a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation as an engineer. Mr. Plumley is also a U.S. Marine Veteran and a member of the Cherry Log Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Jimmy and Tony Plumley.

Survivors: Wife: Janice Towe Plumley, of the home; Sons: Daniel and Derek Plumley, both of Cherry Log; Brothers: Eugene Plumley, Rossville, GA, Charles Plumley, Ellijay, GA, Jerry Plumley, Winder, GA; Sisters: Betty Sue Chadwick, Cumming, GA, Bobbie Lou Chestnut, Fayetteville, GA, Delane Barnett, Ellijay, GA, Barbara Mayfield, Roswell, GA, Mary Ruth Parker, Ellijay, GA, Linda Ward, Ringgold, GA, Brenda Coulter, Lafayette, GA, Cathy Chadwick, Chatsworth, GA, Maria Plumley, Ellijay, GA.

Funeral services will be held Friday April 12, 2013 at 3pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home.

Interment will be held in the Cherry Log Baptist Church Cemetery with military rite by the U.S. Marines.

The family will receive friends Thursday April 11th from 4pm until 8pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
