Mrs. Ruth Bennett Huff age 86 of Ellijay died Sunday April 28, 2013.

Mrs. Huff was born on July 24, 1926 in Gilmer Co. She is the daughter of the late August Raught Bennett and Etta Lou Pence Bennett. Mrs. Huff retired from Huff’s Drug Store and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband G.L. Huff, Jr., son Sonny Huff, sister Emily Arp, brother A. R. Bennett, Jr. and a nephew Mel Mosley.

Survivors Include: Daughter & son-in-law: Julia & Michael (Mike) Lund, Ellijay; Brothers & sisters-in-law: Bill & Peggy Huff, Jim & Barbara Huff, Nonnie Mosley all of Ellijay; Grandson & spouse: William Gary Cochran III & Rachael Cochran; 3 Great grandchildren: Bryson Watkins, & Grant & Cooper Cochran.

Funeral services will be held Thursday May 2, 2013 at 2pm from the First Baptist Church of Ellijay with Rev. James Holt, Dr. David Drake & Ben Arp officiating. Interment will be held in the Ellijay City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday May 1st from 5pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ellijay Building Fund @ 164 Dalton St. Ellijay, GA 30540 Or to the Epworth United Methodist Church @ 585 Madola Rd. Epworth, GA 30541 in memory of Mrs. Huff.
