Mr. Ivan Bud Settles, Sr., age 66 of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed on Friday, May 17th, 2013. Mr. Settles is a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Ellijay, GA, born on December 2nd, 1946 in South Gate, Los Angeles, CA. to his late parents Ivan Jr. and Lucille Parsons Settles. Mr. Settles is retired from the Terrible Herbst company where he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Anita L. Armstrong of Blue Ridge, GA., daughters and son in law Dianna Kim Settles of San Francisco, CA., Kristiann L. Settles of Kennesaw, GA., Donna and Forest Schultz of Rolla, Missouri, sons Bobby Settles of Rolla, Missouri and Buddy Ivan Settles, Jr. of Springfield Missouri, grandchildren Chad Benevides, Christopher Settles and Cody Settles, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, brothers in law Kenny Chandler of Blue Ridge, Ga. And Michael Christian of Logan, Utah, sister in law Linda Christian of Ellijay, Ga., and father and mother in law Bobbie and Rabbit Armstrong of Ellijay, GA.

A Memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday May 28th, 2013 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Ellijay, with Pastor Dave Smedley officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hope Lutheran Church at 3295 Old Hwy 5 South Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. Settles.
