On May 235th, many residents of Gilmer County, had a chance to sample some of the mouthwatering foods Ellijay has to offer at the 8th annual “Taste of Ellijay” to kick off the Memorial Day Weekend.
Many people were seen at the event gathered round the streets of Ellijay chewing, biting, and nibbling down on some of the food the city had to offer.
Some of the food being enjoyed by the people at the event were fresh off the table chicken burritos from El Burrito to Go and smoked bbq wings from Wolf Creek Canyon Bar-B-Que.
Gilmer County’s first winery, Cartecay Vineyards, gave people a chance to taste their authentic Cartecay wine.
The event lasted from 5-8 on North Main Street and featured all together about 20 different restaurants and food purveyors from downtown Ellijay and East Ellijay.
