Gilmer Chamber visits JJ’s on River Street

Ever wonder what the Chamber of Commerce does? The variety and scope of Chamber activities are unlimited. The Chamber represents and promotes our community’s business economy, and encourages investment, active in ways to increase vitalization and employment and basically provides a way for like minded business owners to connect. Business prospects and folks new to the area always seek the Chamber because it represents the community’s pride and self image.

The Chamber of Commerce is influential in our community in so many ways. If you belong to the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce I’m sure you have enjoyed the special treatment given by our Chamber President, Ms. Paige Green and all of the wonderful staff. The interaction and connection to the community shown by our local Chamber is a wonderful encouragement and tool for businesses in this ever changing world.

The Gilmer County Chamber recently went to visit one of its newer members and enjoyed dining at their establishment, JJ’s on River Street. JJ’s is located in a beautiful historic building in downtown Ellijay, GA and features delicious options on the menu with a beautiful atmosphere. Our Chamber enjoyed it so much they shared the experience with us so we could give people a glimpse of what they can enjoy when they dine with JJ’s!

Alan Dover, who manages JJ’s, says the menu for the restaurant includes steak and seafood at night and burgers for lunch. After the meal you have several options for delicious, homemade desserts and my personal favorite happens to be the best cheesecake I have ever had the pleasure to sample!!!

Dover also told us that the upstairs portion of the restaurant will be used for dining and will also be used as a music venue. There is also a beautiful view on the balcony from upstairs where a sitting area is provided that overlooks River Street. Make sure you visit JJ’s on River Street soon and enjoy a wonderful dining experience for yourself!
