CAP Pilots Receive Flight Wings

Five pilots of the 507th Ellijay Composite Squadron were recognized by Group 1 Commander, Lt. Col. John Aden. Newly minted pilots Kevin Thiem, Lex Fisher, Bradley Pope and Bob Salmon accept their pilot wing pins from Lt. Col. Aden. Joined in the ceremony are Captain Sam Burrell, 507th Commander, and Lt. Joe Poole, 507th Director of Operations.

Lt. Poole was the first 507th pilot to receive his wings during June of 2013.

Lt. Colonel Aden commented that he is extremely proud of the cadets and senior members of the unit. It is unprecedented to award five pilots their wings in less than a month. The demonstrated professionalism and enthusiasm is very gratifying and is noticed throughout the wing.

Congratulations to our new pilots and to the squadron for a JOB WELL DONE.
