Mrs. Dorothy Evelyn Cochran, 67 of Ellijay, Georgia died on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at her residence in Ellijay, Georgia.Born Thursday, November 8, 1945 in Chatsworth, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Eli Coram and the late Lizzie Carter Coram. Evelyn was a member of Mt. Shoemach Baptist Church in Cisco, GA. She worked as a tufter for Diamond Carpet.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law; Jimmy and Nora Cochran of Chatsworth, GA and Tommy and Tina Cochran of Chatsworth, GA, daughters and son-in-law; Vicki Lou Hawkins of Dalton, GA and Molly Bea Josh Haddock of Ellijay, GA, brothers; Grover Coram of Ellijay, GA and Clarence Coram of Nashville, TN, sister; Ellen Dills of Chatsworth, GA; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday September 15th, 2013 at Mountain View Baptist Church in Chatsworth, Georgia with Rev. Roger Burgess and Rev. Jimmy Bowens officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Music and singing will be by the Ward family.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at the Logan Funeral Home, 357 Dalton Street, Ellijay, Georgia.
