Leon Watkins Announces Run for Post 1 Commissioner

Leon Watkins has announced he will run for the Gilmer Post 1 Commissioner seat. Leon Watkins has been a resident of Gilmer County for 60 years and has been married to Janie Watkins for 41 years. Leon is a farmer and landfill owner and operator. Leon states that he would like to be elected for this post to help with debt issues and to keep taxes low. Leon’s motto is: Help Fix What Doesn’t Work and Stay With What Does Work.

The special election for the Gilmer Post 1 Commissioner seat is Tuesday November 5th.
