Penland’s Has Double Preparations

While each apple house is busy preparing for the upcoming Apple Festival, Penland’s Apple House has double the preparation with two locations on their hands.We stopped by each location to visit and catch the preparations first hand and the biggest means of preparing that FYN witnessed was the picking, grading and bagging of apples. Throughout the season, Penland’s Apple House offers nearly 20 different varieties.

Other than apples, products offered include cider, vegetables, jelly, sauces, pies, peanuts and much more.

This third generation apple farm was established in 1936 and is available to serve you in two different locations. One of which is on highway 515, just south of Walmart and the other located at 7678 Highway 282.

Whether you’re out and about on the highway or crossing the mountain, you can stop by Penland’s Apple House to meet your fresh produce needs.
