The quaint Red Apple Barn is busy preparing for the 41st annual Apple Festival. The family owned and operated Red Apple Barn has been family owned and operated since 1971 by Marvin and Rachel Pritchett but offers a variety of 20 different apples.
Located on Highway 282, the Red Apple Barn is preparing for the upcoming festival by picking, bagging and displaying as many apples as possible. They’re also stocking up on their assortment of baked goods.
Aside from apples, this little, old fashioned barn offers a number of ciders including peach, blackberry and muscadine, fried apple pies, apple fritters, jams, jellies, sorghum, pumpkins, no sugar added products and their very own cookbook.
The Red Apple Barn also offers a guided tour of the orchard, a sample of their award winning cider and a free apple when you call ahead and schedule your tour.
This apple house is a great stop when you’re out of town and don’t want to venture to town for your produce needs.
