Mr. John D. Poole age 83 of Ellijay, GA died Saturday September 28, 2013.Mr. Poole was born November 14, 1929 in Lula, GA to the late Rev. Joe C. and Gartrelle Miller Poole. He was a veteran serving in the US Army and a member of the White Hall Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA. He is preceded in death by son, Steven M. Poole.

Survivors Include: Wife: Johnnie Poole, of the home; Son and Daughter in-law: Gregory Lee & Traci Poole, LaGrange, GA; Daughter and Son in-law: Therese & Mike Miller, LaGrange, GA; Step Son and Wife: James Carl & Brenda Wiley, Hoschton, GA; Step Daughter and Husband: Melissa & Dante Holloway; Sisters and Brother in-law: Mary Colleen Howard, Gainesville, GA, Rae & John Popphan, Demorest, GA; 11 Grandchildren 2 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday October 1st at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Dr. David Drake and Rev. Howard Hewgley officiating.

Interment will be held Wednesday October 2nd at 11:30am from the GA National Cemetery with Military Rites by the US Army.

The family will receive friends Monday September 30th from 2pm until 8pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
