Gilmer High School held the annual Homecoming football game. Football was not the only thing on people’s minds, as halftime would hold the homecoming ceremony. The well-dressed representatives and their proud parents eagerly awaited halftime, and when it finally came they took the field. First to be recognized were the freshman representatives, Isabel Nieves and Damien Godfrey. Next up were the sophomore representatives Savannah Henson and Thaddeus Bowers, followed by the junior representatives Bailey Charles and Alex Hernandez.
The senior lady representatives were Skyler Banks, Jodie Bramlett, Gayla Cagle, Courtney Crump, Stephanie Dombrowski, Britton Farlow, Sarah Lambert, Marisol Pantoja, Jenna Parks, and Molly Parks.
The senior gentlemen representatives were Mateo Bautista, Nicholas Cobb, Ben Corn, Johnie Flakes, Jonas Kelly, Wheeler Lancey, Sergio Pantoja, Cameron Perry, Griffin Rubin, and Tyler Wardlaw.
After everyone had been escorted to their places, the winners were announced. Third runners up for Homecoming King and Queen were Jonas Kelly and Sarah Lambert. Second runner up were Cameron Perry and Marisol Pantoja. First runner up were Ben Corn and Skyler Banks.
The Homecoming King and Queen for 2013 are Johnie Flakes and Molly Parks.
