The second weekend of the Georgia Apple Festival was a big success and had cooler temperatures. Downtown Ellijay was packed with spectators to watch the wonderful parade with Donna Douglas a/k/a (Elly May) as the Grand Marshall. Lots of people visited the “Apple Arts on the Square”. In addition the Lions Club Fairgrounds were filled with crowds enjoying the festival. Below is a slide show of “Apple Arts on the Square” and the Apple Parade. This year the parade was loaded with lots of local participants and the Shriners brought lots of divisions to watch and enjoy. The first place float went to “Apple Betty’s”. A great time was has by all.
