Cherry Log, Georgia Post Office, located on Cherry Log Street, welcomes our new Postmaster, Ms. Rachel Martin. Many community members, family, friends, and co-workers gathered for a ceremony on November 21st for the swearing in ceremony of Rachel Martin. The ceremony began with a short introduction from Louise Nix, Postmaster in Cleveland, Georgia and State President for National Association of Postmasters. Followed by the Postmaster of Blue Ridge, Mr. Will Hartmann who explained how special Ms. Martin is and how he knew from the moment he met her she would achieve great heights due to her work ethic and high standards.
Kenny Marks, Acting Manager of Post Office Operations for 305 & 306 zip codes was present to officiate the ceremonial swearing in as shown in the video along with Mr. Martin, Rachel’s husband, standing by her for this memorable occasion. Also in attendance was Mr. Terry Turner, former Postmaster of Cherry Log which many fondly remember as Terry served the community for many years.
