Carolyne Ann “Carol” Grimshaw Cowan age 76, of Ellijay, GA., passed from this life on Saturday, December 21st, 2013 from the Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA. She was born February 27th, 1937 in Platttsburgh, NY to her late parents Donald Joseph and Mable Carrie Moore Grimshaw. Ms. Cowan graduated Rouses Point High School in Rouses Point, NY and worked as an office manager.

Survivors include husband of 51 years, Stanley W. Ray Cowan of the home in Ellijay.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4th, 2014 from the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay with Dr. Danny Barton officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay, 75 McCutchen Street, Ellijay, GA., 30540 or to the Gilmer Community Food Pantry, 1298 Old Hwy 5 N, Ellijay, GA., 30540 in memory of Mrs. Cowan.
