The Gilmer High School Bobcats wrestling team took part in the “Friday Night Fights” duals tournament at Union, going undefeated for a first place finish. The Bobcats beat: Rabun County 59-13, Fannin County 77-3, Hayesville 75-6, and White County in the finals 55-21.The Bobcats went wild on the Wildcats of Rabun, winning 59-13 with seven pins by: Enrique Jacinto, Levi Seabolt, Daniel Puac, Trevor Preece, Daniel Stephens, Alix Lopez, and Keegan Sharpe. Jonas Kelly scored a technical pin as well.

Next the Bobcats faced off with Fannin County High School, routing the Rebels 77-3. Gilmer got 11 pins from: Luis Batista, Puac, Yovani Arreaga, Marcelino Lopez, Dusty Lacey, Ethan “Tigger” Teague, Kelly, James Reimer, Jordan Caviness, and Jacinto. Sharpe scored a technical pin.

The Bobcat then stung the Yellow Jackets of Hayesville, 75-6, before waxing the Warriors of White County, 55-21 to take first place in the tournament.
