The Gilmer High School Bobcats tennis teams faced the Lady Knights and Knights of River Ridge, with the Woodstock warriors winning profusely. The Knights swept both the girls and boys matches with the Gilmer managing to win two total sets.Head Coach, Donna Parka, admitted that the River Ridge was a tough opponent, pointing out that most of the Knights’ players are year round players of tennis while the Gilmer team is mostly made of players that contribute in other sports and do not specialize in tennis.
Ally Davis was able to win one set in the second singles match, while the doubles team of Rachel Penland and Mattie Cagle won a set in first doubles.
