Ellijay Experiences Celtic Music & Dance

On Saturday, March 15th the Gilmer Arts presented “Claddagh: An Explosion of Celtic Dance & Passion”, the last in their 2013-2014 B.E.S.T. Series. The performance was a combination of Irish song and dance performed by very accomplished musicians and dancers. The band combined original lyrics and melody with a genuine Irish feel. It was a hand clapping, foot stomping two hour good time. The program was narrated by the lead singer and he told the story of romance, hardship and love, through music and dance. The word “Claddagh” means love, loyalty and friendship.
