Mrs. Effie Ellen Quarles age 91 of Old Hwy 5 South Ellijay, GA died Thursday March 20, 2014.
Mrs. Quarles was born December 19, 1922 in Murray County to the late Everett and Effie Harris Swanson. She was a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church. Mrs. Quarles is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Hawk Quarles. She and her husband operated Quarles Discount and other retail businesses for many years in Ellijay, GA.
Survivors Include: Care Givers Eddie and Etta Ruth Greenway, Mineral Bluff, GA; Sister in-law Juanita Gibson, Snellville, GA; Brother in-law M.J. Edward, Augusta, GA; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday March 23rd at 1pm from the Ridgeway Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Banks officiating.
Interment will follow in the Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday March 22nd from 5pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
