Mrs. Vernell Cochran Lowman age 71 of Ellijay, GA died Friday May 2, 2014Mrs. Lowman was born November 22, 1942 in Gilmer County to the late Clifford and Josie Ellis Cochran. She was a member of the Ellijay Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by brothers, J.B., Wayne, Coy, Lloyd and Lawrence Cochran, sisters; Mary Johnson, Gladys Mooney and Evelyn Cantrell.
Survivors Include: Husband Hollis Lowman, of the home; Sons Mitchel and Ricky Lowman, both of Ellijay; Daughter and Son in-law Vickie and Laurence Whittemore, Ellijay; Sisters Vondell Evans and Alene Cantrell, both of Ellijay; 7 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 5th at 3pm from the Ellijay Church of Christ with Minister Butch Jones. Interment will follow in the Pisgah Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday May 4th from 11am until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
