Mrs. Sybil Louise Rutland King, age 70 of the Tails Creek community, Ellijay, Georgia passed on Friday morning, May 2, 2014, at North Georgia Medical Center.Mrs. King was born on April 16, 1944 in Armuchee, Georgia to her late parents Leslie Blake and Mary Ann Melton Rutland. She served her country honorably in the United States Army as a nurse and attended Berry College in Rome. Sybil retired from Farmers Furniture in Rome, GA as a finance manager.
Survivors include her husband, James King, Jr. of the home in Ellijay, GA; daughter, Dawn Freeman of Rome, GA; sons, Todd Brown of Cartersville, GA, Michael Brown of Resaca, GA, James King, III of Rome, GA, and Gary King of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Michael Brown, Jr., Katheryn Brown, Josh Freeman, Tucker King, Emioly Brown, Tailor Jordan, Trevor Jeter and Travis Jeter also survive.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 10th, 2014 from the Sunnyside Baptist Church in Rome, GA with Rev. Cheyenne Russell officiating.
