Walker Walks into HoF

One time Gilmer High School coach, Rodney Walker was inducted into the Georgia Athletic Coaches Associates Hall of Fame. Walker was the head coach of the Bobcats football program and girls’ basketball program for four years, before moving to Habersham Central. Walker eventually took the head coaching job at Mary Persons, where he matriculated as a student, winning a state title before taking the athletic director job.Walker recently sat down with FYN Sports to speak about his career and his connection to the Gilmer community.
